    Waiting...

First I would like to say we are in the same boat. The way we have handled it is : move forward with ROTC scholarship. They assume you have an application to a service academy. When you signed the ROTC scholarship paperwork it says an academy slot over rides this contract. The other responders...

April: and you are still waiting...

I agree as well, time is passing slower than usual here in SC. We are not seeing much movement, not sure if it’s good news or not but so far no TWE. We decided to take a week long vacation over spring break to break up the wait, hopefully when we return we will have more information. It’s...

We have the same message, but thought they were just for regular tours of academy not overnight. I thought maybe it just went out to everyone ?

We are also in SC , my son has 4 nominations ( 2 senatorial, congressional, presidential). The waiting is tedious, have tried to understand the process as best as possible but we have come terms with an April time frame for information as to whether he is accepted. As I have said in another...

USMA Class of 2022 Appointment Thread

Sorry to hear, I wish every student who really wanted to go could. I know it’s dissappointing. Everyday I check mail and still haven’t heard either way. Thank goodness there are other ways to serve as an officer in the services. I wish your student great luck and promise in his journey.

USMA Class of 2022 Appointment Thread

It’s funny, when we first started the process I was pretty confident about him getting an appointment but I guess the wait makes everyone second guess the chances of getting in, I see that some students have been notified that they will not get in this year. Since we haven’t received a “no” we...

So far we haven’t hear anything. My DD was qualified awhile ago. He has four nominations ( 2 senators, 1 congress, 1 presidential). Is the Q3 the same as the letter that states you are qualified? Is it common to receive 4 nominations and not make the cut ?

Received appointment... and an F+ in calculus

I believe that many moons ago ( olden days) the academies tried to weed out non performers but today they are confident in the applicants they choose and the mentality is let’s get the right cadets through this program. This was a personal quote from an airforce general/ friend
