April: and you are still waiting...

@NPmom Yes you are quite right. Just need to switch gears. It’s still all about serving his country! We knew with 7 nominations it wasn’t going to be easy. And yes, they are all great kids. Thank you for your encouraging words.

April: and you are still waiting...

My DS will go onto ROTC at a good school. Just want to thank everybody on here, but to say that the advice of, you have until May 1 and if you haven’t heard, you’re still in the running, is not necessarily correct. We have received nothing and nothing on portal. His FFR has known for awhile and...

April: and you are still waiting...

I will say Goodbye and Great Luck to all. We have just found out that my DS did not get in. So very disappointing, but it is still Go Army with Plan B, and I’ll get to see him more often as he is only a State away. Just wish they had let us down earlier. Still haven’t heard from them.

When one door closes, another opens.

We just found out tonight, only because my DS contactacted his FFR, that he didn’t get in. He does have a great Plan B, but it is so hard not to be disappointed. Thank you for your words,

April: and you are still waiting...

I hate to admit that I’m beginning to give up hope, even though I’m pretty sure nobody has been selected yet from our district. Waiting...

We are also still waiting. My DS has a great ROTC plan. They need to know 1 May. The great thing about ROTC is, they know you have applied to West Point and even if you have to say yes to Plan B, it can be changed for Plan A. They are cool with that, or at least my DS’s school is.

I know of someone who got recruited as well, but I don’t believe it influences the numbers at all. The young man I know is graduating this year. He had heard in October before our congressional board even met.

District 2. It doesn’t seem like there are many from NJ that are on this site, so it’s hard to tell if things are progressing. I’m thinking you are from North Jersey. Good luck to you.

April: and you are still waiting...

It is so difficult for sure! I don’t think anyone has heard in our NJ district, which is the only thing keeping me going. I thought I would have major foot surgery to keep my mind occupied. I hear pain is a great substitute . Thank you Dr. Mom for the encouraging words.

    For the Parents

Thank you! I needed that! My DS has a solid Plan B with AROTC, but it’s hard not to pray for Plan A.
