DS received his call from our congressman today and his TWE is on the way. It was confirmed he is being offered an appointment and he WILL accept it. Class of 2023, here we go! Go Army Beat Navy!!!!

Hard not to get discouraged, but as a veteran of our armed forces myself, I can most assuredly tell you this is a time honored tradition that has been practiced for over 200 years with our military called "hurry up and wait." Like everything else, this too will pass. You can't stress too much...

What portal are ya'll checking? My DS checks his USAFA portal, but is there a separate portal for AROTC? He was notified two weeks ago that he is in competition for one of those, but I'm unsure if there is a second portal with that information in it?

Our DS has been accepted to several schools, including Texas A&M, (which appears to be his second choice behind USAFA). We haven't gotten word from USAFA yet, but the MOC who nominated him has posted 8 candidates on his website as having been accepted to the Academies, none of which were USAFA...

Still haven't received any more information. This process is grueling for our whole family.

My DS seems so calm about this whole thing and my wife and I are freaking out. The waiting is indeed the hardest part.

We are dying over here in Texas as well. What a wonderful forum to find with so much encouragement for not only the applicants but us nervous parents as well.
