Pretty sure that isn't true. Every NROTC recruiter I've spoken with has characterized the first couple courses of ROTC as electives, until you are required to contract. The scholarship and the program are not necessarily bound together. I might be wrong though.

I can't speak to the admissions side of things, but I have a couple of friends who are in C, and it's a ton of work. To have that class your senior year would be a real bummer.

If you're a 3q candidate with a nom, is it super hard to get a CVW? Additionally, would it be possible to meet with coaches at the academy? I've been messaging with the rowing coach a bit, and would really like to see the boat house. I just asked my BGO for one, hoping to hear back positively.
