To answer your question- the PMS has very broad authority to not contract students. No one is going to question his/her decision. I’d move on and get healthy and do well once out of college.

Correct. ROTC programs follow title 9 which forbids asking citizenship status. However, why lead on a program if you know you cant contract and continue on?

None. At the boards they tell the PMS’s not to consider schools when voting. Ie, kid had all Ivy’s but only a 3.7 and 1400. Judge on their file, not their schools.

Go to West Point and do Sandhurst if Ranger Challenge is your deciding factor. cadre change. Schools change. Have you passed DODMERB? You may not even be eligible to contract. jarhead is 100% correct. Go to the school you will excel at.

Changing majors creates a huge hurdle to extension of benefits. Its the students fault they go longer than 4 years.

If you arent using tour scholarship to leverage an awesome deal you are missing out. Ask the ROO at your desired schools about these deals. Many are back door deals created over the years and not advertised. MSU has a great one as well. Hint hint
