    Service assignments for 2020

    Sub draft has existed every year in recent history to my knowledge. In my year, it was a "you will go x,y,z." There are some ways to get out of it, as I had a few friends that did. However, y'all sleepin on how lowkey being a sub officer will be post service.

    USNA VS. USAFA

    Yes, semester exchange. Definitely worth it. USNA mids get to do gliders/jump program at USAFA and USAFA cadets get to experience Army/Navy and YPs/sailing.

    Continue what you're doing and score well on standardized tests. Shooting a polite email next year to coach may also get you a CVW with the team.

    Twins going to 2 different academies

    Also for exchange program: yes, you have to be very competitive (around 7 sent to each academy, 3-5 to USCGA) in fall 2/C year. But also, majors matter too to align your courses to have them count towards your matrix. i.e. a Naval Arch major would have a tough time trying to fit courses at USMA.

    USNA VS. USAFA

    I went to both academies. From my understanding, you have to go rated at USAFA to become pilot, some get drafted into RPA. At USNA, you may get put in NFO due to needs of the Navy. Things to consider: college/service culture (both have very different cultures), types of aircraft, and 2nd/3rd...
