Looking for gift ideas for our 1C MIDN commissioning in a couple of months. Do they receive a certificate of some kind? If so, what size is it? Maybe a frame would be a nice idea. Other suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

My DS is commissioning as a pilot in the Navy. We would like to get him a nice watch for graduation. We don't want anything pretentious. just one that is classy and useful for a young pilot. Thank you for your suggestions.

Has anyone heard of MIDNs having to have a Navy physical/EKG after contracting COVID before they can commission. It seems to be spreading like wildfire (even among the vaccinated).

Would it be possible to continue with a 6 week online summer school course during a 3 week 2C cruise. I would need internet, a laptop and 1-2 hours a day to study and take tests.
