PIAD's are typically what Corps Squad athletes do to satisfy the IAD graduation requirement. Think fo just practicing a sport all day. There are some other ones available to non-ODIA athletes, but they are kinda rare.

Am current cadet. A couple of guys in my company are on the team. They practice every weekday (except some Fridays) and have a few tournaments/matches per season. The tryout is pretty competitive and physically grueling (back to back rpft's kind of hard). They both seem to really enjoy it.

Candidates do not, but cadets get to see it and a percentage that correlates to the (assumed) maximum score possible.

Because I couldn’t get half sizes I had the same problem and opted for the larger pair. I found some of those heel pads for dress shoes and then put a moleskin over it. Helps prevent most slipping and the moleskin is a lot better than the grippy texture on the pad, which caused blisters
