Apparently, General Clark was concerned about the pilot slots being seriously depleted. He communicated this in writing with all cadets.

Some did and some did not.

Around 20-30% at USAFA did not get their requested pilot slots—even cadets with PPLs and instructor pilots for the Academy's soaring program. Some were devastated.

Every year there are one or two Falcons who have their offer of appointment rescinded because of grades in the second semester (NW Prepsters mostly), drinking, violating school polices, etc. Is NWP not as academically rigorous as other prep schools?

We'd like to talk to someone at KP who can explain the route to AD. Would you know of a contact?

And--what happens if a Falcon Scholar does not receive a nomination but completes all other requirements?

Yes, looking at the curriculum, one notes that its first year offerings are rigorous and similiar to other engineering schools.

Am wondering if the push back would continue at the academy?
