So if the medical waiver is denied, is it all over? Just like that? I'm absolutely crushed (even had an LOA :( ). It's hard to believe that there's nothing left to do. Any advice on how to deal with such a sucky situation? Is there any way to appeal the decision? Thanks everyone...

Hi all, I received a letter stating that I am physically and academically qualified, but not yet medically qualified (going through the waiver process). I thought this was a bit strange, since it seems like a 3Q letter but obviously is not. Has anyone else gotten something similar? Good luck...

Let's say that an MOC has one spot available. Of the 10 people (s)he nominates, two have an LOA. How does this work? who gets the spot?

yes, but not necessarily. Still put your best foot forward in the interviews and don't take anything for granted. Also, be sure to let the nominating committee know of your LOA (as humbly as possible). the short answer is yes
