The waiting is HARD! If they are still asking for medical information, your DS is still being considered. Our DS was checking in with his admissions counselor at USNA every week or two. Also, it's not a DODMERB thing at this point; USNA provides the medical waiver. Hope this helps!

DS received medical waiver and offer of appointment on 13 May, so they are still working on them! He will likely accept, but is taking a few days to decide. He is a re-applicant and had a very good year doing NROTC. There are definitely benefits to both experiences!

My son is a re-applicant/college and NROTC student, so his application was also turned in at the end of January to include first semester grades. So you could say it’s a late start. He’s had an LOA since mid-February.

One of my sons is part of that big group at Nuke Power School. They were all waiting on the CO interview. They do have a different deadline and are guided through the process by their command. Our younger son is also applying from high school, so I was concerned about their later deadline as well!

I wish that were the case. She applied for and received her AROTC scholarship very late -- after being accepted to ND.

Our son also received word re: NROTC scholarship today for Notre Dame. Anyone know if having the scholarship helps one get admitted? He's a ND NROTC legacy and has a sister doing AROTC there, but just curious if anyone has experience. Thanks.
