@NovaMere The quickest way to see a status update is to keep checking your portal. You will also receive a lovely certificate and paperwork via snail mail!

3 and 4 year AROTC offers

Agree with @tgti , not a factor. DD also AROTC, and school choice did not seem to play into decision as we had not yet heard from any schools when she was awarded. As suggested by many on this forum, just be sure your DS is committed, so that you can cover tuition, if he leaves AROTC.

Hope you are well. Is it OK to share your "Falcon A" name with someone on this forum? They reached out to me based on my past questions on this forum about allergies and I mentioned how helpful people on this forum were.

Hope you are doing well and your Westpoint daughter and Senior as well! Is it ok to share your "go cubbies" name with someone on this forum who reached out to me regarding my past post on allergies? I mentioned that people on the forum were extremely helpful and they asked that I share some...

    Nut allergy DQ?

@NEED2KNoMo This forum has members/moderators who are more knowledgeable on this subject. DD was successful in getting a waiver for her AROTC scholarship. I've read here that Army may be more willing to grant waivers. (?) Great news that DS has had immunotherapy and can freely eat all...

How does school selection work for ROTC scholarships?

There is definitely a reason the application advises putting down 7 schools, be sure to do this and besides your dream/reach schools include "safe schools" for admission. The more options the better! College admissions is super competitive, and you don't want to find yourself scrambling with a...

    AROTC Advanced Camp 2019 dates

sorry for my ignorance, is this for all incoming AROTC freshman? Can you tell me more about it?

    Nut allergy DQ?

Is your son ROTC? In my limited experience, I would advise only seeing an allergist if you are sure the allergy is gone and want to do a challenge test to use those results to prove that it is no longer an issue. You may want to start gathering all his pertinent allergy related medical...

Meeting with a pms in a few weeks (not an interview)

You don't mention if you have been awarded a scholarship? Either way, as a Mom I will advise that you can never be "over dressed", but you certainly can fall short and be under dressed. If you do attend this top choice school, this will be a staff person who will take part in your...

    Single DQ to DQ rebuttal?

DD AROTC is also a DQ (for history of allergy..) and we have also not received letter sent. She sent an email. Thanks for the list of contacts to call.

    dodmets status

Totally understand your frustration. Daughter's exams were 11/20, Concorde had "on hold" for a while (verifying info), and this week, made it to DodMERB and under review. The DodMERB site has a chart after you log in, that shows dates exams received, dates entered, etc. She did follow up...

    NROTC Question

I am in no way an expert, but will pass on that my daughter signed all of those required forms with the officer who did her interview. Print out and take all the necessary forms and bring them (along with your resume) and this may save you a trip!

    Nut allergy DQ?

Thanks for the information! I think we are at the "wait and see" part of this process. Waiting for information to post on the physical, and taking it one step at a time. This is valuable info, ....holding our breath to see if we need it.

    Nut allergy DQ?

Thanks so much for this information! Will read about your journey, if I can figure out how to find it... How did you find your retired military allergist? Google?

Thank you so much for the detailed response! I'm thrilled to hear your encouraging story. We've started the process and have seen an allergist. I may reach out to you in the future with questions. Happy Thanksgiving

    Nut allergy DQ?

My DD was awarded AROTC/Nursing scholarship. BUT she has a history of a mild tree nut allergy/sensitivity. Mild, takes benadryl if needed. But is this an automatic DQ at her physical? Even for staff corps who will always be in a medical setting? We were so disappointed to read this on...
