    First thing, if you do not use the resources of Khan, take an SAT course. My son initially had a 1260 SAT (first take; a benchmark only). After taking a local SAT class, he wound up with a 1400 & qualified for a AF/ROTC scholarship; he took the SAT 5 times. He also had a 3.85 GPA.
