Lots of us with kids at NSI 1 got short (30 to 60 sec) phone calls yesterday. My daughter said she’s okay and has learned a lot and she’s definitely looking forward to seeing us at graduation.

OMG - now my daughter just got a call from OSU that she IS going. They "found" more money. This has been a rollercoaster for her.

I don't think it's gender based, but it is unfortunate. The unit reports who was chosen to go, and who was not chosen to go, was done randomly by NSI. I know they are upset with the outcome as well. Onto August and ROTC orientation now! It certainly changed our summer plans.

First - she was scheduled to leave Monday. Now she has a free July.

It looks like maybe it's just an OSU thing? Half the unit is going and half the unit is staying put. So curious about how this all went down.

I know. It's very curious. The other interesting thing is that in the lists - one female is in the "going" list and the other four females in the unit are in the "not going" list.

So it looks like 11 kids in the unit are attending NSI and 8 are staying behind. I'm trying to get my daughter to find out how they decided.

My daughter’s scholarship is intact - according to the email. Just the “trip” is cancelled.
