You’re commander does have to notify you,however, there’s a certain time period I believe that if they don’t notify you, then your portal will update. I guess kind of a precaution to keep you from missing out on the opportunity

No you’re fine. My flight commander gave me my squadron commanders number and told me to call him and that he needed to talk to me.

If she does try to leave will the government charge her for the education she has received? I have seen on several ocassions where people got out of the academy and either had to pay a lot of money to pay back the education or enlist to repay them

You wouldn't get turned away... you're just going to have to buckle down. You dont start picking your degree and taking specific classes until at least sophmore year I believe.

The only benefit that you get after graduation for your career in flying is you don’t have to go through the ift (initial flight training) I’ve heard that’s where most pilots washout at and since you have a ppl already you skip that phase. It also I believe will look better on your application...
