Thank you for your advice. It's going to help a lot for my application. I plan on doing my nominations as soon as I send out my Pre-Candidate questionnaire. I can't send it in because I haven't taken the SAT yet and I dont want to send it with my PSAT. I do take the SAT within the next month though.

I also live in CT-02 and from what I've learned is that it isn't very competitive for the academies. I am applying to USAFA and I know my friends got her nomination from Courtney pretty easily. I'm not sure how it is for USNA though. We are just lucky that we don;t have any high school...

I think that it will help. Even if you don't get in, your application to other colleges will be bolstered, so it won't be a waste. Also, if you get a good score on the AP tests, you could save some money at other colleges. Further, you could also go to a military prep school, which makes it...
