Any recommendations on things that New Cadets could pack to make Beast a little easier? Any recommendations on types of socks and underwear that we should bring?

We contacted West Point and they were able to squeeze me in over spring break. Now I don’t have to worry about missing school. I’ve also already accepted my appointment, but I just want to see what it’s like and get a feel for it.

I received my offer of appointment about 3 days ago. My ACT was also below average at a composite of 26 and a math of 22. All you can do is keep waiting. Appointments are still being offered.

I received an appointment to West Point and will more than likely accept it. What will happen to my AROTC scholarship? Will the money go to someone else? It’s a 4 year to my top 3.

I received a nomination to West Point and won a 4 year AROTC scholarship yesterday. Can I use my scholarship to pay for anything at West Point?

Just got the call that I’ve received an appointment to West Point. Still waiting on the BFE though. What are the next steps that I have to take? I’m assuming that they will be included in the BFE, but I just want to be as prepared as possible.

I’m from the small state of West Virginia and a candidate from my congressional district received their TWE a few days ago. Does that help my chances of receiving an appointment at all? (FYI, I’m not celebrating their rejection, just curious)

The third AROTC board just ended two days ago. The website says offers should be made around the first or second week of April. I’ve also seen people say that they’ve received their offer as quick as a week after the board ended. Any definite answer as to how long it will take to here about it?

The third board just finished looking over the last of the applications. Over the next two weeks or so they will choose who is awarded a scholarship. I’m also waiting to hear about it.

My Army ROTC status has changed from Board Ready, to Boarded/ Under Consideration. Is this where I want to be? I would have been on the last board but the PMS didn’t submit my interview until after the deadline.
