Has anyone been “not selected” on the portal and NOT received a TWE by mail? Does USAFA send an actual TWE?

i would like to hear opinions on the prep schools. Are they of value to academically prepared candidates, or is college/AFROTC a better route?

I wonder about my DS’s chances at this point. 3.98 weighted, 1330 SAT, 30 ACT, NHS president, 2nd LT in CAP, 3Q, maxed the CFA, basketball, track, jiu-jitsu, all AP science and math. Feels like a strong candidate, but has not heard anything yet.
