    USMAPS Possibilities for DS?

Just to reply to the original question on this thread... USMAPS is not only for recruited athletes. My DS received an LOA to USMAPS for this coming fall ... he is a football player but not a D1 recruit. His was likely because his test scores were a weak spot for him and his GPA was a 3.5...

    Peanut Allergy Remedial

I’m curious... did you have the blood test done as well? Also have you had reactions to nuts in the last? I’m asking because my son also is in remedial waiver status for a peanut allergy. They want him to do an oral challenge however the allergist we saw says that he is not a candidate. He is...

    Medical Waivers

Can you tell me more... was your DS positive for nuts on the skin and blood test? That’s great the oral challenge was passed. My son was positive on blood and skin however the allergist and his primary doctor wrote letters stating his allergy has not been severe and he is fully able to eat in...

    Medical Waivers

I am wondering if anyone can tell me about the possibility of my son being denied his medical waiver but wanting to reapply and try again next year? Nut Allergy

Ironically enough I made an appointment at this office today ... we live in CT, only 30 minutes from West Hartford! My son wants to start OIT. We have an appointment on May 9. It seems some applicants have been able to get through a waiver process on a second round after OIT. It’s given us some hope.

Peanut Allergy Waiver Granted Through Peanut Immunotherapy

Jeremy, reading your message made me cry. Congratulations!!! My son is experiencing the same. He got an LOA back in November to USMAPS and then got DQ’d for peanut allergy hx as a child. We are jumping through hoops for testing but it seems if it still exists they are not going to approve his...

    Nut Allergy

I am just curious to know if anyone out there knows of situations in which someone attended USMA on a waiver for a nut allergy. My son received an LOA in November for USMAPS which was his choice. He wanted to attend prep school first. We were obviously ecstatic. He was then DQ’d for a hx if a...
