    BCT Cadre for 2027

Not sure of the range, but you will shoot prone/kneeling/standing, supported and unsupported on each

    Submit CFA?

Presuming that you are a male, I would not submit these scores. Mine were almost identical the first time I took the CFA. Slower shuttle run, but slightly better on pull-ups. I did not pass. I don't think these will either

How to Address ALO When Rank Unknown

No, "chief" is reserved as an address to a CMSgt. If you still can't find out, the question "how should I address you" is always a good choice.

    USAFA Traveling arrangements on breaks

Commandant has established LMD as when sign-out logs open. Don't know when it changed from the wing discretion that you described, but CS&D currently states passes/breaks open at LMD.

    USAFA CFA - Passed ?

Scores are around the averages, maybe a little low. Good enough to pass, but never be satisfied with a CFA score if you have the time/opportunity to improve.

    Recognition 5 weeks later

Recognition is tough just to get to, and an extra month certainly isn't going to help with that. Every cadet currently has been granted recognition, and the majority of us understand the importance of earning the prop and wings. The path to Rec sucks but we all feel the value in the fourth-class...

    Between Jacks Valley and A-Day

Undoubtedly. The Ac Year is longer but is much much more bearable

    Between Jacks Valley and A-Day

Phones/computers/music come back, they have much more freedom when speaking (no more seven basic responses), they can go places alone (without a wingman), their schedules are a lot more free, they aren't under 24/7 supervision, and soon, they'll be able to leave base (among other privileges)...

    Between Jacks Valley and A-Day

The week between the march-back and the end of BCT is still BCT. Basic wake-ups, morning formations, eating with Basic Roses, etc. They'll probably get issued the rest of their blues and service dress, learn how to wear them, pick up their shoulder boards for A-Day, do a SAMI, take their...

A Typical Academic Year at the Academy

It could be different these days but as far as I'm aware, I just went back to my high school English teacher. Did not take college English and still did fine.

A Typical Academic Year at the Academy

USAFA wants to see courses similar to the freshman year. That doesn't mean it has to look exactly like it. You will want to validate as many courses as possible, as it will make every year at the academy easier. Taking AP courses and spending a year in college allowed me to validate enough such...

    26, You Got This!

The next 38 days might tell you the opposite, but trust me when I say we are all very excited for you guys and glad we get to see you all join the wing once A-Day comes. Push through, and before you know it, you'll have clouds on your shoulder!

    Declining CFA during summer seminar?

Strange... Nonetheless, I don't think the classic altimeter check is getting changed any time soon. Even if it is wrong, it's still far, far above that of West Point or Annapolis

    Good Luck 26

It's your first full day. On I-Day, everything is fairly calm until the buses, and even after that, there is so much going on that you don't have all eyes on you at all times. On your first full day, it's a very early Reveille, and non-stop until the end of the day. It's the day that'll most...

    Good Luck 26

Sink Navy And for '26... The day after I-Day will probably be worse than I-Day itself. But if you can make it through that first day, you can make it through the whole summer. Push through and godspeed!

    Gas Chamber at BCT?

We, c/o 2025, did not get gassed during Basic. That's why there no pictures of the gas chamber during last year's basic

    Squadron Assignments?

A big part of BCT is fostering unit pride, so I second this. I know when I was in basic, I'd rather be referred to as Guts than Squadron G. Also, for the parents out there, I believe we treat Hellcats as one word.

    Weekend Overnight Passes

As of the most recent AFCWI 36-3501, fourth-class cadets are given weekend overnight passes after Parent's Weekend. There is a radius you have to remain within, but by filling out a Form 99, you can request to exceed that limit.
