The plebes did board selection for leadership positions for plebe parent weekend. DS hardly slept that week preparing to be and acting as company commander. I am amazed at what the academy does to train these incredible cadets.

DS is in this club and loves it. The try out was rough.

My plebe has that on his summer schedule but I did not hear that brief at PPW.

He we in touch with the local folks--I forgot the titles--about the prep slot. They first contacted him to ask if he was interested, he said yes, but it didn't happen. They were the ones communicating with him about it.

DS is a plebe on his second pair of Garmonts. He says they are great and much better than the issue pair they also get. Between Beast, Sandhurst, and all else h just wanted another pair.

If you really want it apply again next year. My DS got that letter his senior year. He was still considered for a prep slot after that but did not get one. He applied again as a college freshman, worked hard on his fitness scores, and got in on his second try. He loves it.

Good for you. The most important part is trying again--my DS made it the second time and reports in less than two weeks. He also improved his workout regimen and significantly improved his CFA scores on the second application, and earned high marks in his first semester of college.

So, DS was on waitlist. Yesterday was the original R day when the list would close, but we know R day has been pushed back. He has his backup plan in motion, but his old man is still holding out hope. Is it time for me to stop reminding him to check his portal?

Did you get to choose which civil prep you attended? And, did you get the next step after civil prep?

My DS just found a TWE in the portal dated 4/9, so things are moving along. Best of luck to those still in the running.
