    Political Views

I recently read an artice about how the political makeup of the military is much more conservative than in the past, and is continuing in that direction. I was wondering how much the officer section of the military compared to those statistics. Potential cadets, current cadets, current or...

    Chances of Active Duty?

Apologies if this has been the topic of another thread (I couldn't find one) I've been hearing more and more recently that after ROTC, chances of going active are very low, and most cadets end up in the reserve for their commitment. Can anyone give me an approximate percentage of ROTC cadets...

    How long have you known...?

For those of you who have a ROTC scholarship (or SA appointment) how long have you known you wanted to do ROTC/attend a SA? I've seen a lot of people on these forums that have known since grade school, and I was wondering if that was common...

    tattoos in the army

Army policy is not to have any tattoos on the face or hands, and not to have any racist or inappropriate tattoos. is there a different policy for officers? could a cadet be disqualified from becoming an officer for getting a tattoo as a cadet? 2 year limit

I know that the "qualified" status is good for 2 years from the date of the original exam...but do cadets have to do another full exam every 2 years, or just fill out paperwork? It seems like a stressful process to have to completely redo every few years...

    question about status?

i did my medical exams a couple weeks ago. the dodmets page now has both exams in, and my status (on dodmets, not dodmerb) is "complete--hold". i think complete means that dodmets has the forms but has not yet sent them to dodmerb. what does the "hold" mean? also, does dodmets ask for...

    question about waivers and timeline

I have not yet done anything with dodmerb (i just got notified of my army rotc scholarship and the dodmerb website still has no record of my ss or dob, so i'll give it a few days) I was wondering whether, if i know already that i'm probably going to be disqualified for something, i should...
