Bad News Yesterday. Well we also received the news that our DD did not receive the NROTC scholarship (nursing option) yesterday on the status page. At least the wait is over, and she will be attending BYU. She has some comfort knowing that she was offered an instant scholarship decision...

Nursemom, How did DD find out about the scholarship? Was it through the status web page? letter? phone call? Still a no decision today. Just curious. First choice school won't hold spot at University after May 1st, however second choice still has openings.

Frustrated but Hopeful If I see that "no decision has been made on your application" one more time, I'm gonna spit! (laugh) Give us a YES or even a NO.....give us something to work with. May 1st deadline is coming and fast.:wink:

no go here! Washington State just emailed that they cannot hold a spot open for DD past the May 1st deadline because of others waiting for a spot. DD first choice school for NROTC if she gets it. Now what (laugh):mad:

Fearthegoat: I contacted the admissions department via email and told them that DD is waiting to hear about a ROTC scholarship. I didn't tell them it was Navy because one of the schools she applied to only has Army and AF ROTC, and will know that DD would not attend if Navy comes through. A...

just sent an email down to FL GAMCJROTCMOM, Just emailed the address I got off the Navy status page. Hopefully, they will respond. Even a "no" would be disappointing, but would let us proceed with plan B and other scholarships from schools she was offered. :redface: Fingers crossed.

Will email. I think we will do that. Had our local office who my DD interviewed with call down there beginning of last week, but they said no decision was made yet on her. Deposits are due for Plan B May 1st which is NOT the same school as the ROTC school. Trying to hold on as long as we can...

We can't be the only ones! Is my kid the only one still waiting for a NROTC Scholarship decision? Haven't heard a peep from Naval Command although local office says she is still listed as a "no decision" when they called. Anyone Else?????:confused:
