Write to your RC, ask them what is the best course of action. They may understand situations where you just said your C# wrong, as long as you clearly let them know.

    Nom Interview questions?

Don't forget, after the honor code question, they will usually give you a hypothetical scenario....so not only will you not cheat with others on a test, but you will also warn them that their actions violate the honor code, and if they persist, you report to superiors...good luck with interview...

Currently a Female Plebe at USMA - Ask Me Anything

Hey there! Questions: 1. I know that you've only been into it for half a year, but what do you think is the biggest misconception about the military academy? 2. What do you think got you in? (stats, ECs, relationships with military) 3. What has been the most difficult part of your journey up...

SAT test date coinciding with Nom interview.

Yes, that needs some work. But how confident is he that he will score much higher this time? Always give yourself the chance, ask the nom source to accommodate a different time for him. If they are reasonable, they will help.

Currently a Cow at West Point. Ask me Anything

Perspective, have you ever heard of "LOA but no nom"? I'm worried about that because my district is very competitive in terms of nominations and interest in West Point in general. We have more than 70 students applying for our Rep's nomination, including college and MAPS students that have a...

    nomination strategy

I stuck with USMA as the only choice I listed down because I think that being definitive on where you want to serve really shows people that you are exceptionally dedicated to a single choice. Of course, that's just me thinking all or nothing. For others, they want to have multiple options, and...

Currently a Cow at West Point. Ask me Anything

Generally true because nomination sources want to nominate those that have a real shot at admissions. If your district rep. doesn't nominate you but you are still considered competitive, the senators will possibly consider to nominate you. If not senators, but you are "at the edge" type of...

    What does admissions value?

Have them handy during the interview as well as have her email the nominations source the score report. Send score to USMA right when she receives the score (if it is worthy of sending, ofc)

    Extracurriculars and having a job

Aside from time management and work ethic, I think what's even more important is that you are in a position of responsibility, and of trust. Those are much bigger character qualities that the SAs value...

Someone in my district received an appointment

I can't say for sure but 3 years again when Rep. Lance was still in office, they had 4 kids with an appointment. Not sure what it's like today, but I would say fairly competitive. Try checking up with your FFR, he might give you some sense into your competition.
