Thanks, Nukes. This information is really helpful. My DS also received a Type 7 scholarship this year, and his top colleges are out of state. Also, he received an email from one of the colleges he applied to that they learned that Type 7 scholarship will be upgraded to 1.

Congratulations to your son. My son's application was marked "complete" in November. He did not get the congressional nomination and still waiting for the senatorial (fingers crossed) and VP nominations. He is very anxious about the outcome.
