Did you consider getting loans for the first year? That's a good option - students can get guaranteed loans and parents can also apply for loans to supplement the student loans. Good luck - I hope you can find a way to make it work!

Perhaps they're waiting 'til the dust settles, so to speak, and they know who will be accepting the scholarships they've awarded and who'll be turning them down so they have an idea of what they have left to offer. Hang in there! You never know!

Just curious, did everyone receive notification that all of their materials were received at CC? My son didn't, but he was getting emails saying they didn't have everything when, in fact, everything had been sent in. Of course he replied to them each time they contacted him to let them know...

I have a feeling my DS isn't going to get a scholarship. His stats were competitive in all (academic, leadership, etc.) but sports. He spent four years in HS in marching band, but had no HS sports. He's been sking and snowboarding for years, but that's probably not enough. Time will tell...
