    Performance Review Board

Scuba A friend's son did exactly that early in his first year of NROTC. He was reprimanded and allowed to keep his scholarship. He did the same thing at the end of the freshman year (this was self-reported) and he lost it all. FWIW.

    Advice? Medical waiver

Larry Can I talk to your friend?:thumb: Fortunately I took a few days off to fish this weeknd...well get my chores done so I can fish. I spent most of the morning on the phone, on my son's behalf, with AFROTC at Norwich, AROTC at Norwich and the Engineering admissions counselor at...

    Advice? Medical waiver

Thanks again KP. Unfortunately, we may be at the point you mentioned. My son submitted remedial tests and physician visit and the waiver was denied by AFROTC. I am waiting to hear something from them to see if there is some other avenue or appeal we can follow. I have heard that AROTC may...

    Advice? Medical waiver

KP I have emailed Larry several times and he has been very helpful. However, I know no one ever wants to say "never", and that is what my son needs. This entire peanut allergy blind-sided him. He is being dq'd because of a mild reaction at age 1. I don't think any of us thought it would...

    Advice? Medical waiver

Long story short...my son received AFROTC scholarship, dq'd for peanut allergy, medical remedial, denied. Accepted at Norwich (electrical engineering) as well as U of MD (we live in MD). Basically, without the scholarship, MD will cost less, and it has a great engineering program. However, my...

Wait For It...Wait For It! eesh

FWIW-I just called admissions becaue I was wondering if my son would be receiving a letter, officially, since he was DQ'd for a peanut allergy in January. The lady I spoke with said the last of the letters will be mailed out tomorrow and everyone should receive something by Saturday or Monday...

Wait For It...Wait For It! eesh

I am curious, my son received a DoDMERB DQ (peanut allergy) for USCGA back in January and nothing has changed since then (i.e. remedial request-AFROTC has requested medical remedial for peanut allergy, however). So, my question is will my son eventually receive the TWE, or was his file closed...

    Sigh -

Mauler I was given this information from a helpful poster for NROTC: LT Erin Connor NSTC Officer Development Selection and Placement erin.connor@navy.mil (850) 452-9419 fax: (850) 452-2486 Unfortunately, my son was not offered NROTC but received AFROTC and we are fighting for a...

Has anyone gotten a NROTC scholarship lately?

Can I draw any comfort from the fact that my son is still "In process"? BTW-Emailed Lt. Connor, in Pensacola, and she said boards will continue until the end of April. Craig

    Waiting for waiver

Mr. Mullen If AFROTC requested a remedial but USCGA has not, would they (USCGA) have access to that information (remedial) if they were interested?

How long until I find out?

Just curious, when you say log in are you referring to the dodmets site? We scheduled the appts. and had them completed Tuesday. If the dodmets still says complete appointment, does that mean Concorde has not received the paperwork yet? Thanks Craig

    Campus based Scholarship?

Congratulations...are campus based scholarships applied for separately or is that something the college decides to do when you apply? Craig

Bad scoop - Accepted Norwich, but Quota full

BobMc Just curious as to why you were contacted by NJ, directly. Admittedly my son has done most of the leg-work here and I am not as informed as I should be, but should we call locally (we live in MD) to see the status? My son is still listed as "...being processed". Thanks Craig
