My status changed on the USAFA site to Candidate* I read the * explaination at the bottom (USAFA deemd competitive) Does this mean that if I obtain a nomination (they have not been given yet in my district) that I am close to receiving an appoinment?

Our DS, who is applying to SA's just earned his first speeding ticket. We are proud -not! Will this in any way impact his possible acceptance?

USNA1985 Do you know anything about the criteria the Sup uses for his nominations? Are these mostly for athletes needing a nom for their appointments? Used for minorities? Do these become public record at some point? The info. you provide is very helpful. Thanks for your time.
