I am aware of VMI's harsh first year and some say it is harder than the service academies' first year. I just don't think I should finish my application process and complete the CFA if I will not pass it and get in.

Oh, I thought I would still have a chance even if I failed the CFA... I'll just settle for VMI or Virginia Tech then. I have never been athletically skilled so I won't pass the CFA even if I did train.

So if I do not pass the CFA then will I 100% not make it into a military academy or do I still have a chance?

Sorry I got confused because the figure in that guide (Figure 16) shows the 'standard' push ups but it shows the tricep one in the other CFA guides and I am not sure if it showing that figure in case it is different for women or something.
