The prompt is very similar, but I would recommend broadening it out a lot more for the actual USAFA application. This is the real deal, and you want to maximize the potential for admissions to view you as an applicant, which is significantly done through the essays.

I suggest waiting. Yeah there are definitely certain rules and regulations with getting a tattoo in the military, but just play it safe before basic. I'm a sophomore here at USAFA and most of my friends got their tattoos after they arrived. So it's not too late to delay.
