I believe my DS has mentioned your daughter yesterday....they were in AIM together. He got his conditional appointment (DODMERB) in Dec and his full appointment last week! Very excited for all the kids receiving their appointments!

Just an update: USCGA didn't request any additional eye tests and granted DS a waiver and a full appointment! However, USMMA requested an additional eye exam with extensive evaluation. Waiver and full appointment to USMMA were granted about 3 weeks after that last exam. Nothing yet from USNA...

Messages got posted on DODMERB website for all 3 academies. And we also got an email from the U.S. Coast Guard academy's medical confirming that waiver was requested. Which academies your child is applying to?

All 3 academies requested a waiver in December ...still waiting. Coast Guard (DS admitted EA) should be OK per their website but we are not so sure re. USMMA (MOC nom. and LOA received) and USNA (MOC nomination received). Good luck to you, guys!

DS got a phone call from USCGA coach today that he got in...will add the info once we see something official in his portal. More appointment will be rolling out again! He didn't have LOA.

Our son spent 7! years sailing at Camp Don Lee in NC and loved it! It was over 6-hour drive for us one way from VA but he insisted on going every summer! Now he is hoping to sail or row for USCGA.
