As the title suggest, aren’t candidates supposed to be paid for the time spent at NSI? I’ve contacted other candidates in my company and they’ve received pay. It’s been about a week and no news so far. Should I be reaching out to someone or should I just wait it out?

Some candidates in my compartment brought their own toiletries (such as deodorant etc) and were able to use it. You’re not going to have a lot of time anyways to get a proper “morning routine”. At most you’ll have 3 min to brush your teeth, shave, and do whatever you need to do to get ready.

Has anyone been receiving emails from DTS regarding "Please cancel this trip authorization and RE start a new document." and "This travel DOC cannot be approved."? Seems like DTS is having trouble finding tickets or is there something wrong from my end?

Update came in today, turned down, unfortunately. It is what it is. Is it still normal that im "under waiver review"?

Update: USCGA has denied me a waiver, for anyone wondering, I did have an LOA from USCGA back in September.

No one really knows, it's on a case-to-case basis. I've received an LOA from USCGA back in September and I am still under waiver review, it's been almost 4 months! (Same with USNA) However NROTC on the other hand was able to approve my waiver within a month.

My point of view might be a bit biased, but we were IT'd almost every single day. Other than that I really couldn't remember anything else since it was routine at that point. I had a fun time at AIM and definitely made a bunch of friends.

Update for anyone following this thread, NROTC granted me a waiver! Still waiting for USNA and USCGA... Ecstatic nonetheless.

I was DQ back in Mid January, sitting with a conditional appointment. As far I as know, I was "in the final stages of the process" for my waiver until my medical information had to be sent back around late February due to AMIs I sent in.

Update: due to conflicting information presented in the initial DoDMERB exam and requested AMI, the technician decided to post both disqualifications. From this point forward, it is up to the waiver authorities to make a decision. Good luck to those who are in the same boat!

I have no clue, despite getting tested 3 times with the outcome being correctable to 20/20. I have already emailed DoDMERB to see if I can gain any information. To my understanding, I think DoDMERB is going off the original exam where the DR said I was only correctable to 20/30.
