What does “declined” mean?

My son was accepeted early to Georgetown yesterday and to his dream school Notre Dame today. He's beyond excited! Go Irish! Good luck everyone!

My understanding is it’s one of the best units. My son went to their summer NROTC 4 day “camp” this past summer and loved it. Big, tight-knit. It made my son’s top 3 for school applications because of their unit.

I should also add that his officer interview was reported to us as being very good and he maxed out on 2/3 PRT elements and pretty good on the 3rd. His LOR were good as well. Good luck!

My son was in exactly same situation. We had his packet done early Sept and for whatever reason it wasn’t in the right hands in time for the the Oct board, which was our goal. The status of his portal was exactly as yours - it changed from processing to no decision was made before the Nov board...

I would say getting a full ride scholarship and guaranteed admission into ND with a 29 ACT is amazing considering how competitive ND admission is. Was this a particular scholarship you applied for? My understanding is that a NROTC scholarship will cover either tuition OR room and board.

Does anyone know if results have been completed for the Nov board? Oct results came out so fast….

Yes for sure he did the interview. I don't understand how his packet wasn't reviewed. I'll have my son follow up with his recruiter next week. He's focused on finishing up college apps this week for early action schools.

The recruiter says the packet was complete when sent. I wish there was a way we could check on our end to make sure everything was completed as promised. This was our recruiters first time submitting apps so a learning curve was in place.

ok thank you. So it sounds like maybe not all applications received by board date are reviewed? Our recruiter says it was sent last part of Sept/early part of October. Hoping he'll get looked at in November 🙏

My son’s application was submitted early October and his status has only said “received and being processed” since then. Will the status change if his package has been reviewed at all? Or, will it continue to say received and is being processed until he is either awarded or denied?

Everyone in here is only mentioned SAT scores. What if the candidate only submitted ACT scores? What are the mins they want to see for those?
