AFROTC and Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M (TAMU)

I'm headed to A&M on a Marine Corps NROTC scholarship. Your son will be able to choose his squadron when he goes to his New Student Conference in the summer. I believe fish camp registration opens in June, and fish orientation week begins on August 15th this year. Gig 'em!

Thanks, I sent you a message! (as long as it went through, I'm not sure if it sent haha)

Am I on track for acceptance to Texas A&M University with NROTC?

I've narrowed it down to E-2, C-2, P-2, and H-1. They all look like good fits for me, but it's hard to get a good feel for them online haha. I'm going to JCAP in February though so I should have a better idea then

Am I on track for acceptance to Texas A&M University with NROTC?

You need to get that GPA up man.. It's not too late, but even a 3.2 is low for TAMU standards. The average accepted applicant (50th percentile) has ~3.7. I was in a similar situation as you, but second semester my sophomore year, I turned it up and finished the year with a 3.8 and went on to...

DoDMERB qualified, now what? (Marine Option NROTC)

I was notified that I will be a NROTC Marine Option Scholarship recipient awhile back, and shortly after I had my DoDMERB physical and ear/eye examinations completed. Yesterday, I received a letter in the mail that said I was qualified. Does anyone know what the next step is in the scholarship...

    Academic Ratings

It depends on your major. Texas A&M and Virginia Tech will typically receive the highest rankings in most cases.

Items waiting to Process: Science Teacher Evaluation

I applied for the NROTC MO Scholarship and it says the same thing for me. I'm pretty sure it's a non-issue, but I still have no idea why it's there.

Competitive PFT score for NROTC Marine Option Scholarship?

Thanks for the response! I'm gonna be kicking my butt during this next month in order to see if I can bring my max a little closer to 20. I feel pretty confident about my application other than the PFT, although I'm going to try to bring my ACT score up a little bit as well (28 composite)

Competitive PFT score for NROTC Marine Option Scholarship?

What is considered to be a competitive score for the NROTC Marine Option Scholarship? I took mine for the first time today and scored a 259 (14 pull-ups, 100 crunches, and 20:27 run time). I'm going to try to improve my pull-ups and return for another PFT, but as my PFT score is right now, how...

After you submit your NROTC application, can you edit it if you have new credentials?

I am applying for the NROTC Marine Option Scholarship, and I need to submit it tonight. I will more than likely be picking up new leadership roles this year, and I feel like it would greatly benefit my application. Will I be able to add them on even after I submit it?

    NROTC Scholarship at Emory University

I would like to list Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia as one of my college choices for the NROTC Scholarship. I had read online that you can attend Emory and take NROTC at Georgia Tech, but Emory isn't one of the choices you can select on the online scholarship application. Can anyone...

Question about school choices for NROTC Application

Is it wise to list a school on your application even if it is unlikely you will be accepted to the school? I'm considering listing a "stretch" school on my application (Probably UNC or Vandy). If I was accepted, I would probably attend in a heartbeat, but since it's unlikely (though possible)...

NROTC at Florida State vs Texas A&M

I'm mainly looking at schools that are good in polisci and econ that also have nrotc in my area, like florida state, university of florida, and possibly some schools like unc and vandy if I can get in. Texas A&M is a bit farther away, but it is very good in both programs and has the corps of...

NROTC at Florida State vs Texas A&M

I'm a rising high school senior who will be applying for the Marine Option NROTC scholarship this fall. I'm looking at some colleges, particularly Florida State and Texas A&M, and I'm trying to decide which of the two would be better for me. Florida State Pros -Closer to home (I live in...

    Question about admissions

I'm currently a sophomore in high school. I'm in Marine Corps JROTC and participate in varsity track, drill team, and color guard. Recently I have been working my tail off in school for grades, but I'm not sure if I'm up to par. I slacked off my freshman year and had a GPA of 3.67 and started to...
