Son got notice of his Senator nomination interview in early Dec . Looks like about 40-45 students vying for this senator's nomination slots (so approx. 1 in 4 chance of a nomination)...will be done via Zoom...

Wow...end of Oct was it for nomination submittals here...package was in months ago, but the letters of recommendation came down to the wire...wow, son managed to corral all the teachers to get them in so now he has all 4 nomination streams ready for Dec interviews...

Son got his interview and it went about an hour and 20 minutes...I know duration is not a true metric of the officer's opinion of the interview, but I imagine it is a good sign that the talk went on past an hour...and my son asked some very good questions that the officer never heard before...

My son submitted his application with his statement, his counselor said she turned in academic info, hs transcripts were sent in...but the portal has no check marks for any of that...I assume it takes a few days, maybe a week or so to get the check marks, but does it take weeks? months? I ask...

Son just completed his interview with the FFR. He said most of the questions did not match those he practiced on off the internet (so be ready for any curveballs to any prospective candidates getting ready for their interviews) but practice gave him the confidence and flexibility to answer...

Son flew into BWI from Vegas today...got taken to the Academy and is now hanging with his squad...very exciting...my question for the forum is on the last day of the seminar, can parents attend the awards ceremony?

We just got a 24 hour vaccine attestment to submit for NASS. I wanted to know if anyone else had problems opening it (stating we needed the owner's approval to access the document)
