PLEASE RESPOND AS LOAs COME IN

I got my LOA halfway through September. Going through the process for getting a congressional nomination now. I was so incredibly excited to get that letter though!!! ACT / SAT Scores: 32 ACT, 2320 SAT (770 CR, 800 M, 750 W) GPA (weighted/non weighted): 4.95 weighted, 3.95 unweighted Class...

Even if you're Caucasian, you might say something about your heritage, ex. ancestry from Germany, or something like that.

    SAT Scores

Thanks for the great information, that makes me feel at least a little bit better. I did serve on conduct committee in 9th grade, so that's a start for leadership. Team captain for a sport would be pretty far fetched--I've gone to a different school for every year of high school so far. But I...

    SAT Scores

Well my deal is that I'm really good at academics but I have a lot of weight on GPA and SAT scores because I'm really lacking in leadership and academics...

    SAT Scores

Alright, so my SAT scores were made available online today, and I'm not sure how good my scores are for USMA acceptance. I'm only a sophomore still so I have plenty of time to retake the SAT, but I would certainly be happy stopping now. So what are good subscores that I should strive for?

Chances of getting into SLS and later WP?

ya, what GPA scale does your school use? And for the PSAT, I've heard that you kinda just add a zero to the end, and it's around equivalent to an SAT score, so you would have a 1750.

    Consider Crossfit

That's exactly what I said. It's fine if you know your limits. If not, then yes, it's extremely dangerous.

    Consider Crossfit

I would have to disagree--it's not dangerous at all. You just need to know your limits. CrossFit is actually very good for beginners and even extremely out of shape people because you can alter the workouts to fit your needs by using different weight and even easier alternative moves. I did...

    Improving My Chances

Sounds like you have great stats, I'm really surprised you didn't get in! Perhaps your application essay wasn't so strong? But really, you have a very diverse resume, I'm really surprised. See my problem is that my family moves a lot. I went to one high school for freshman year, another for...

    High School Co-curriculars

I'm in my sophomore year of high school and realized that although my GPA is great, the extracurriculars are definitely lacking especially if I want to have a competitive application. I ran JV cross country as a freshman, and that's really about it for all that I've done so far. So I definitely...

    "whole person" concept

I'm currently a sophomore in high school, and it was only recently that I realized how much I needed more extracurriculars. 4.0 GPA is great, but I need more to grab their attention. My plan is to join lots of clubs next year, continue doing a ton of community service, participate in a varsity...
