Thanks for the update! The minimum of 15 year old accounts (or older) is a barrier. We may have to wait until well after DD graduates the USNA before we can rollover 529 funds to a Roth.

Thanks for the responses! I am thinking the deposit may be worth it. We'll research of few of the school's "Deposit Refund" policy and find the best Plan B - NROTC school option.

Was even worse in 2020 when my DS was a rat at VMI. He had his head shaved, like all other males, and everyone was wearing a mask! Wife and I were arguing about whether or not those were his earlobes. Glad my DD will have her hair and no masks this summer at USNA.

Congrats! DD received her USNA BFE too. We were surprised because she had not yet clicked the "accept" button. We assume other paperwork will be sent once that is done.
