I think it is competitive, but I have speculated that their decision matrix might include different factors from Admissions. Just speculating....

Yes! USNA and USMA should offer club swimming for kids like your son who are solid and could swim on the collegiate level. I cannot figure out why they don't - there are several established club programs within a reasonable drive to Annapolis. Obvi on the NCAA side the Army/Navy rivalry is huge...
