I got them out yesterday and report in 7 weeks too. Total recovery, with some of the most likely complications attached only takes 3 weeks to a month max. They'll be fine. Most people are back to their normal diet after 10 days.

Just have him accept on April 30th if he's heard nothing back from USNA by then. If USNA ends up accepting him later on, say May 15th, he can accept that and contact USAFA admissions to let them know he's not coming, they'll sort out the rest.

I didn't all three times, but I regret not doing it the first time when I could've.
