    NROTC Transfer

Give LSU NROTC a call and you can find out. They are the only ones that know.

    NROTC TWE

Do not look at this as hitting a wall or going in the wrong direction. Look at this as just a detour to your final goal. Yes it sucks right now and only time will heal this wound, but it is a minor wound. Join the unit as a CPer do well academically, on your PRTs, and with the unit. If you...

4 -Year NROTC Scholarship Thread - Class of 2028

Lots of info out there about Side Load Scholarships, but it is basically just a opportunity for a College Programmer to get a scholarship after there freshman or sophomore year. You have to have a scholarship(or exception called Advanced Standing) to continue in the NROTC past Sophomore year...

PA School after graduating with NROTC

As usual, Capt MJ's information is spot on. NROTC is not your typical path for going into the medical field after college. Their mission is to prepare Navy Warfare Officers in specific communities. Your service obligation will likely take precedent over going to PA School. I'm not saying...

USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

She completed a arduous application that involved many different processes and tool alot of time and effort. She has also waited months for a answer without pulling her application. They know she is interested. Calling or emailing about status doesn't make applications think she is more...

4 -Year NROTC Scholarship Thread - Class of 2028

There is no set day or time. It could be the 30th, but it could also be right now. Its possible that the great "purge" already went out, and anyone who has not heard as of now is on the waitlist. Remember the NROTC scholarship people on SAF are but a fraction of the total applicants for any...

    Tesla or EV auto anyone?

One item that many EV owners and supports mention is how they don't have to spend any money on gas, but many do not mention that the cost of a EV is much more expensive than a comparable gas vehicle. This means it takes several years before you are actually "saving" any money on purchasing...

    NROTC NSI Assignment

Congrats to your DS for getting through Covid years in NROTC and college as well as the others. I'm sure it is exciting at your house right now with graduation and commissioning coming soon.

    NROTC NSI Assignment

My DS went to NSI last year in the iteration after the guy that posted the video. When he saw the video, he laughed and said "ya that's about right" DS was not totally committed before NSI. He wanted to do it, but he was unsure. After NSI, he was 1000% committed and talking career Navy. Now...

    NROTC NSI Assignment

A fun little "preview" of what NSI was like for one Mid candidate. Done pretty well I think. More for parents to enjoy as Mid Candidates should have alittle surprise about what will happen, though all of this info is out in the web already.

    Suggestion for workout schedule

Run alot, but vary your running. Have a "speed" day where you run sprints of different distances and time. Have a long day were you our out for 1-2 hours running and walking. Distance and speed is less important than time on feet, but try to jog as much as possible. Run on trails, roads...

4 -Year NROTC Scholarship Thread - Class of 2028

SAF has been quiet with awards and declines the for over a week now, but we may only see a small percentage of what is going on out there. I would expect by end of April for most to have final notifications, so the wait will likely be over soon. Maybe today.

    NROTC NSI Assignment

Nothing last year. I think that was just on the form used. Maybe they will change the form this year, but no vaccine checks, no masks, nothing like that.

    NROTC NSI Assignment

    NROTC NSI Assignment

Background checks are pretty easy. Really just basic info. Just include copies with your Mid candidate when they go to NSI. The ticket pick up is at the NEX just outside base either afternoon before graduation or super early morning of graduation. They will have Mid Instructors handing out...

USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

Even if it was negative, you are talking about a high schooler at a summer camp for just one week. A Mid will only have so much interaction with that camper for that week. Unless the note speaks about criminal acts or really bad ethical/moral behavior. Admissions has to place little value in...

    Trying to choose NROTC schools

Ya rolling admissions sounds more likely. The Dec 1st deadline is WAY too early for a regular admission deadline for most schools nowadays. I thought that was fishy. Good luck!!

    Trying to choose NROTC schools

Not trying to be rude, but his chances are anywhere from 0-100%. There are a hundred different variables both at the school and with his application that we don't know, so not sure anyone on SAF will know. If he was awarded a NROTC scholarship, then I'll guess he is good academically. So...
