    ROTC or JMC

North Georgia Military College is the SMC with the lowest ACT/GPA. It a good 4 year college, with a very large all Army ROTC program. Its also affordable for OOS. AROTC there has lots of military extra-curricular activities. I think you need about a 21 ACT 2.0-2.5 GPA. Just another option.

    Factors for 3yr v 4ys ROTC?

I read some research on AROTC recruiting a while back, and the conclusion was that the Army, with limited resources, "needed to fish where the fish were biting". In some regions and schools, ROTC is simply unpopular, and spending a lot of money in those markets was/is a waste of time and...

Advice on picking schools & ROTC ranking

IMHO, In your case, your instate should be your first choice, interview there, plan to attend there. Rank the others by your preference. Frequently (not always) if you are offered a scholarship, you are offered to more than one school, so choose other schools carefully, if you are offered a...

    AROTC Interview

I would suggest interview at the closer school (VMI) and be honest... Pose the question as - it's very close to a toss up, why should I (DS) choose VMI over The Citadel? He likes both, the closer to home option has clear advantages, let VMI make the case on why VMI. He is interviewing the...

Your ACT is low, getting admitted to Ohio State with a 25 ACT is a MAYBE at best, you should be looking at schools where your stats put you in the top 25% to get a AROTC scholarship (not the bottom 25% of the class) At UNG or BHSU you are an top 25-50%/Honors student, at OSU, you are not...
