    Delayed Entry Advice

You do not need to be in touch with recruiters if you do not want to enlist. It's your career. If you want to become an officer and set yourself up for a great career, then do it. Don't let what your recruiter says sway your decision. Politely decline, and be on your way.

    NMMI? Other prep schools?

Northwestern Preparatory School in San Bernadino, CA is a great option for USAFA prepsters. 15 of 18 free agent students got appointments this year.

    Best Self-Prep School/Route for USNA

Hello, I am looking to earn admission to USNA (as well as USAFA and USMMA as secondary options) for c/o 2029 after my Turn Downs this cycle. I am unable to afford attendance at a 4-year university this year, so I am looking into attending a preparatory college as a self-prep. I have: 3.7UW GPA...

    Northwestern Prep without Scholarship

Hello, I am considering attending Northwestern Prep next semester. I was rejected from both USAFA and USNA this cycle and was not offered a FFS or a USNA foundation scholarship. My ALO/BGO's insist that I was a highly qualified candidate but simply did not make the cut. The $14k cost of the 6...

    USAFA Waiting Page C/O 2028

How did you receive a TD? Through portal or email? You seem to be the first on this forum that has gotten an official turn down from USAFA (to my knowledge).

Are TWE's not a thing anymore?

I got a TWE email this year from USNA, but the actual thin white envelope in the mail does not exist anymore.

    Community College ROTC route?

If I were to participate in NROTC at my local community college for a year or two, which is a crosstown with UCLA, would I have to transfer to UCLA after CC to continue my NROTC route OR could I continue it with a different school/different unit? Also, if I were to transfer to UCLA, does being...

If that is the case then it sounds like your issue may be more significant than a missing status. I would definitely contact your NROTC application coordinator.

How difficult is it to be selected for Field Training/Advanced Standing?

Thank you for the answer. I am interested in CW Engineer, and Crypto-Warfare for the Navy. I am also becoming interested in the general role of SWO on ships/submarines, which I would have to serve in for a certain amount of time before having the chance to transfer. I think that the Navy is a...

How difficult is it to be selected for Field Training/Advanced Standing?

Navy ROTC will most likely be the route I will take to commission. If you get good grades, are in good standing in your unit, and crush the PFT, are you highly likely to be selected for a spot to commission?

    NROTC Side Load Scholarship

Where did you find these stats on last year's scholarships? I'm not questioning your credibility, it's just that this seems to be contradictory to what most are saying. I really hope it's true though!

    Is it worth it?

The only answer is that it is worth it if you really want to go to USAFA. There are many other ways of commissioning as an Officer in the AF and USAFA is only one of them. If graduating from USAFA is something you really care about then it is 100% worth it. If your sole goal is to commission...
