    Army ROTC 2023-2024 3rd Board

Additional 3AD allocations were just distributed directly to programs Monday, 22 APR. Check for upgrades from 3AD to 4-year and expect for some non-selects to be contacted with offers directly from schools.

A PMS and someone at USACC.

    Army ROTC 2023-2024 3rd Board

Just an FYI to the "non-select" population - USACC is balancing the books right now and are allocating additional 3AD scholarships to the Brigades. If you still see, "Boarded/Under Consideration" - you're still in the hunt over the next couple of weeks. Anticipate that each Brigade will handle...

Possibly...no change on my kid's status.

They were allotted to me as a PMS to upgrade as I wanted.

Good Friday is the TRADOC Holiday.

It can even get upgraded to a 3.5 once on campus. I had 2-3 opportunities to do that.

    Army ROTC 2023-2024 3rd Board

I remember that being after the March board results...maybe sometime in April. There were also some 3ADs that were made into 3.5 year ADs. It's all based on the remaining budget after committments are made. Someone in USACC RMID does all of the math.

    Army ROTC 2023-2024 3rd Board

You're right, I stand corrected - it's tomorrow, 29 MAR. It's actually the TRADOC Holiday, not federal.

    Army ROTC 2023-2024 3rd Board

I was told that if it's not posted 1430-1700 EDT today, then it'll be next week. I think I mentioned last board the general process, but will put here: AM: released to Brigade Commanders late-AM/early-afternoon: Brigade Commanders forward to their PMSes I immediately forwarded to my ROO and...

    Army ROTC 2023-2024 3rd Board

Or put it out and they won't deal with it until next week anyway! I never did anything with it. We had a standard "congrats" email that went out to those who had one of my schools #1 (actually very few). That would just take a few minutes.

    Army ROTC 2023-2024 3rd Board

If you do not see results today, do not expect anything until Tuesday. Easter Monday is the federal holiday and Good Friday is typically a day off for uniformed and most DA Civilians take it as a vacation day. Also, a lot of schools are on Spring Break right now as well, so few cadre on...

    ROTC and Congressional Nominations

If you have a fully qualified USMA admissions packet but were not accepted - then that is very easy to pull into a campus-based 3-year ROTC Scholarship. We did that a couple of times and while it's not automatic, it's pretty painless and quick to get approved. Call your top program immediately...

Cal Poly AROTC PMS Arrest (Innocent until proven guilty - but does not look good)

You can be tried in a civilian court and under UCMJ for the same offense. Plus tack on "administrative" actions and you can get nailed several times for one offense.

Changing schools on the winner letter

Accept the scholarship and work the transfer later. Transfers are easy (even from a $10k state school to a $40k private school). Just a little leg work by the ROO and PMS at the gaining school. I will say, if the awarded school and the desired school are in the same USACC Brigade, the transfer...

    ROTC Scholarship's influence on admissions

If you received a national scholarship, I could make one phone call to admissions and have your application moved to the accepted pile. (at either the R1 state university or a highly competitive D3 that were under my program). Most schools care about their numbers - first-year attrition...

    Army ROTC 2023-2024 2nd Board

Call the ROO/PMS you're working with to have them check the actual list, but what I'm hearing is that you're bumped to March.

    Army ROTC 2023-2024 2nd Board

PMS and ROO all have the JAN board list now, contact them if you're in the "Under Consideration" category...At this point, that means you're moving onto the final, March board. *Your file is not "re-boarded" - only new applications are boarded, but then everything is racked together to build an...

    Army ROTC 2023-2024 2nd Board

You're moderately competitive for a 3-year and probably on the March board. The worst stat you have there is honestly the PMS interview. You do not mention: AP/Honors courses and College Credit Plus courses, leadership positions (section leader or 1st chair in band counts!), clubs, church...

    Army ROTC 2023-2024 2nd Board

The Army is not overly interested in academic majors. I know guys with History degrees who are Engineer Colonels and guys with Electrical Engineering degrees who are Infantrymen. The only time the Army seems to care is for Cyber officers.
