I was just wondering if anyone knew the percentage of nominated who candidates receive appointments?

I Have heard that places like Texas, California and some east coast states are very difficult because of the ammount of applicants. I know that it is not "easy" to be appointed no matter where you live. I was just curious if living in Oregon is an advantage or disadvantage. Thank you!
