    Workout Suggestions?

There are a lot of good sources out there to help you prepare for plebe summer. I don't know if you attended NASS but the SEAL who stopped by for PEP one morning is an amazing fitness expert. Most people have already seen his site but here it is again http://www.stewsmith.com/ He has a...

    USNAPS vs. Marine ROTC Scholarship

Agreed with what the other posts have said above. It's a personal decision. Both very good options, Try to write down the advantages and disadvantages of both routes and see which is more appealing to you. You most probably already do this mentally, but for some reason at least with me, writing...

How many times are too many times to take SATs?

Agree with everything everyone has said. I've taken the SATs 6 times and the ACT once, and by no means am I a hot-shot when it comes to standardized testing. Keep in mind they do a whole-person evaluation and SAT scores are only a portion of it. Took it June my freshman year, October...

How many application so far ?

SHorvath, Your information seems very competitive, at least in my eyes. But I'm just a fellow candidate. The thing is that there are thousands of others who are just as qualified. A good chunk of your accomplishments mirror mine very closely, but like I said, we're in a similar pool along...

LOA & Nomination: A Waiting game

Thank you Just_A_Mom. I have already done so and he replied back to me this morning. He informed me that there is still a possibility of not receiving one, and he informed me more on the waiver process. I just sent him a reply regarding applying elsewhere as a backup, so I will wait and see his...

LOA & Nomination: A Waiting game

I have a question. How strong are LOAs? I know you are guaranteed a spot in the brigade if you complete the necessary components of your app by March 1st. I received my LOA back in early September, and everything is taken care of, even the nomination (NJROTC) except the medical qualification. I...

    Candidate Activities Record Problem

Your best bet would be to review it with your guidance counselor. However, if it's too late for that and you are worried you did not include enough info on the document, they always accept updates. To send a list of updates it must be in resume format and they told me no longer than 2 pages...

LOA for the Class of 2015

In my case, I was notified by mail and I notified my BGO. and LOAs keep rolling through the fall from what I know. This is just the beginning. Not receiving an LOA is not the end of the world either. The important thing is an offer of appointment.

LOA for the Class of 2015

I'm sorry I forgot to mention. I am not a recruited athlete. and yes a big help for me was having my application completely ready during the summer. I was on the waiting list for NASS and was notified around 2 or 3 weeks before my session, so it is a good point that coming from MD...
