    Should be a good time for the new fish coming in! Mine seems to be very happy with his unit he choice. His dad's company at USMA was also Spartan's. So I guess its in the blood to be a Spartan :)

    You have it correct. You will pay for your books upfront and get reimbursed sometime in September via direct deposit. The stipend amount is 350 per semester. Hope this helps.

    March 8, 2011 AROTC Board Just received notification from #1 school my DS has been awarded a 4-year AROTC scholarship . He has the option of choosing from #1 or #2 school. The notification was also noted on the AROTC status page.

    My DS was told the same exact thing by RD. He received TWE last Saturday and will also attend TAMU in the fall.

    I am looking forward to meeting all the parents and learning more about the Corps of Cadets. I know many Aggies or Aggie parents and the TX A & M tradition is stronger than USMA or USNA grads. Aggies are a loyal bunch of very good people.

    awarded nrotc scholarship, now what?

    From what I understand about the process, once you accept your NROTC scholarship you can request a unit change at that time; after all scholarships have been awarded the board will then look at the requests for unit transfer which will be in mid-March to April.
