Speaking of swimming, I'm also pretty big into swimming, but don't want to do it as an IC, not that I have the times. But I'd like to maybe go a few times a week maybe and just swim laps. Will they allow that? Thanks y'all!

Mine was the 22nd. I'm pretty sure all gov issued tickets are on that day.

I took the Spanish one, and felt neutral about it. It's never been my strong suit.

What about bikes and snowboard/ski gear?

I actually got my ticket today in the mail from the travel office at USAFA. :D

Hey, I'm from GA09 I believe though my nomination came from Senator Isakson. Though I'm normally in Gwinnett county.

I completely agree. Already there are several upperclassman group members that will make our lives miserable if stuff like that goes on. So far it's been pretty neutral with congratulations and telling where we're from and such.

Basically, from what I understand, is you arrive on the 22nd. If you don't have parents with you, you sign up through the AOG to get a host family who will pick you up from the air port, take you home, sleep over, feed you breakfast, then take you to Inprocessing. They can be staff at USAFA...

I'm in the same boat. I'll be saying good bye to my grandmother at the airport in Atlanta and hopefully doing the AOG bed & breakfast program. Y'all feel free to PM, I'd love to get to know some of y'all. :)

Same here for I-Day. My grandmother can only make it to Parents Weekend luckily.

What happens if you validate the course? I've been swimming since I can remember, and used to be a club swimmer on top of varsity high school, so I'm a pretty strong swimmer and may validate.

The AOG thing came with the packet. There's a whole thing about paying for a life membership at graduation, and one of the payment options (one I'd probably choose) is the allotment one where you sign up and they take out around $20 till your firstie year to pay for the membership.

Heck yeah! I'm driving my folks crazy with my own excitement. I've never been a huge talker, but they're almost to the point of telling me to shut up talking about it haha. Good luck wherever you decide to go! I have friends that are going to both of those.

Hey y'all, I've been working my way through all the form and such and have been looking at the one to apply for the life membership for the AOG. Is it worth it? I would go with the payment option of around $19 per month for all four years if I did so. I was wondering what y'all though of it. Thanks!
