My DS brought 5 pairs of compression shorts with him to BCT last year and was allowed to keep them. According to him, the shorts were lifesavers as the issued undergarments were XXL on my skinny son. He said the ABUs can be scratchy and the compression shorts prevented chafing.

That might have been my son...his glasses broke before BCT II. The pictures of him on webguy were so funny; at first he used duct tape to hold the glasses together, then started using white medical tape. Eventually the frames wouldn't stay together so, he wore his own.

I agree with you; seems odd that there is only one Ga appt so far. And that one was probably an LOA since it was back in Dec. We live north of the ATL metro area in Milton/Alpharetta. I have one son at the Academy now. Thought going through this a second time would be easier...wrong. DS...

Spring break with Cadets I am thrilled to be hosting 6 cadets for USAFA spring break. Can't wait to sit back and listed to their stories; my son and his classmates will have just completed their Recognition training and will be with us at the beach for some much needed rest and relaxation...

We've done the same thing for my DS-don't have to accept the scholarship offer from his plan B school until May, but we did go ahead and put in the housing deposit.
