It is a shame that the Recruiting Station could not have called your DS first.

So some got early letters letting them know that they would not receive the scholarship. So we all assumed it is a "good thing" that we are still seeing NO DECISION MADE, but does anyone know if a lot of the students hanging on will still get the denial letter? It is just such a hard, long wait.

Do you have any idea what percentage of students get the SA appointment and drop the ROTC scholarship? Is there a last minute scramble?

DoDMERB is down so maybe they are loading all of the information for the new guys? Thoughts?

Visted Penn State two weeks aga and NROTC was full by January --- 30+ on waiting list -- so now everything must shift as people decide if they are going to the SAs right? Then the NROTC scholarships open.

Since I am new to the process, I did not realize that most apply for all ROTC scholarships and service academies -- so many are offered multiple options -- it must take awhile to sift through right?

Do most people send in the money to all schools to hold the space and continue to keep fingers crossed for the scholarship? Any recommendations?

Does the Navy specify the exact number of slots each school receives for each branch? Or is it a moving target depending upon pool of candidates?

Any idea on timeline DS is anxious as I am sure many out there are? does anyone know when the next set of announcements will roll out?
