Jasperdog - Thanks for the apology. Actually USMMA is his first choice. I was inquiring because I was confused what kind of service obligation he'd have. I'm not military so I don't understand the lingo and came to this site to get some questions answered. Not to upset anyone.:wink:

Someone told me that USCGA was paying for he & his son's airfare to visit USCGA.

I must've asked the wrong question. When do kids find out if they get accepted to the prep school and sponsored by the service academy? What time frame is that usually, Jan, Feb or later? When do kids find out if they get accepted to service academy? Jan, Feb or later?

My son got a nomination to USMMA, but I think they may not accept him directly since his ACT score was not that good. If USMMA were planning on sponsoring him to go to NMMI, how soon would he find that out? Thank you.

Thanks KPMum. Maybe the SAT is a better test for him to retake. I'll have to look into that. I would like to find out if anyone knows, if USMMA normally sponsors kids to the prep school who are nominated? I think the prep school would give him a good base.
